The Role
We're looking for a Director of Operations to ensure our schools run smoothly day-to-day while continuously improving systems, execution, and outcomes. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone early in their career who is ambitious, scrappy, and wants real responsibility fast—similar to joining a YC-style startup .
You'll work closely with leadership to turn vision into execution and make sure our four commitments are delivered consistently across the organization.
What You'll Do
Operational Excellence
• Own day-to-day operations across TSA schools
• Ensure systems, schedules, and teams are aligned and running efficiently
• Identify bottlenecks and proactively solve problems
Deliver the Four Commitments
• Translate TSA's four commitments into operational execution
• Track outcomes across academics, culture, life skills, and athletics
• Partner with academic, coaching, and support teams
Systems & Process Building
• Build and improve SOPs, workflows, and internal processes
• Implement tools to improve accountability and visibility
• Bring structure to fast-moving, ambiguous environments
Cross-Functional Leadership
• Coordinate across academics, athletics, admissions, and operations
• Serve as a point of accountability for execution
• Support hiring, onboarding, and training as TSA grows
Founder-Level Exposure
• Work directly with leadership on strategic initiatives
• Own special projects critical to growth and scale
Who We're Looking For
Must-Haves
• 2–5 years of professional experience (operations, startups, consulting, education, or similar)
• Based in Texas (Austin preferred) or willing to relocate
• Extremely ambitious and ownership-driven
• Strong organizational, execution, and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable in fast-paced, startup-style environments
• Excellent communication and follow-through
Nice to Have
• Experience building systems or processes from scratch
• Background in startups, operations, or education
• Passion for sports, education, or youth development
• Interest in long-term leadership growth
