High School Social Sciences
Washington High School in Washington Iowa is anticipating an opening for a passionate, dedicated Social Sciences educator for the 2026-27 school year. The applicant should be team-oriented, collaborative, adaptable, and prepared to participate as a member of a department. The position may include instruction at all levels of social sciences taught at the high school. An all social sciences endorsement is preferred.

Washington is a vibrant community of over 7300 people, located just over 30 minutes from Coralville and Iowa City. The main portion of our High School is 12 years old, with a new addition opening in the 2024-2025 school year. Washington’s Performing Arts Center seats over 700 and opened six years ago. WHS’s students have a long tradition of success in academics and activities, including sports and music.
